Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented VRF HVAC Technician to install, maintain, and repair Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) systems in commercial and residential settings. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience working with VRF technology, including diagnosing system performance, troubleshooting electrical and refrigeration components, and ensuring compliance with industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Installation & Maintenance:
- Install VRF/VRV systems, including indoor and outdoor units, piping, and controls.
- Perform start-up, commissioning, and functional testing of VRF systems.
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance to ensure system efficiency and longevity.
Troubleshooting & Repairs:
- Diagnose and repair refrigeration circuits, electronic controls, and communication systems.
- Identify refrigerant leaks and perform proper recovery and recharging procedures.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues, including wiring and communication faults.
Technical & Compliance:
- Read and interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer manuals.
- Ensure all work meets industry regulations, safety standards, and local codes.
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation of work performed.
Customer Service & Team Collaboration:
- Communicate effectively with customers and team members to explain technical issues and solutions.
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other technicians to ensure smooth project execution.
- Provide recommendations for system improvements and energy efficiency.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of experience in HVAC service, with a focus on VRF/VRV systems.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent; HVAC trade school or certification preferred.
- Certifications: EPA 608 Certification (Type II or Universal) required.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in working with VRF brands such as Daikin, Mitsubishi, LG, and Carrier.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.
- Driver’s License: Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Manufacturer-specific training on VRF systems.
- NATE certification or equivalent HVAC industry credentials.
- Strong knowledge of building automation and control systems.
