Build Your Career While Building Communities
At Lydig Construction, we do more than construct buildings—we create spaces that serve, connect, and inspire communities across Washington State. For over 65 years, our commitment to craftsmanship, integrity, and people has set us apart. Now, we're looking for a Project Engineer to join our Spokane-based team and be part of shaping the future of construction.

As a Project Engineer, you'll play a vital role in delivering complex commercial projects, collaborating with experienced builders, and developing into a future construction leader. Whether you're in the field or supporting operations from the office, your work will directly contribute to our mission of building better communities.

Note: Many projects are local to the Tri-Cities area, so overnight travel is minimal, though occasional travel may be required depending on project needs.
Additional compensation may be provided when working out of town for extended periods.

What You’ll Do

  • Coordinate submittals, RFI tracking, and procurement logs to keep projects running smoothly.
  • Review subcontractor/vendor submissions for scope, accuracy, and compliance.
  • Prepare and distribute meeting minutes, maintain documentation, and support project team communication.
  • Support project managers with buyout, subcontractor coordination, and material tracking.
  • Assist with scheduling, change orders, and construction documentation.
  • Participate in on-site activities, including safety meetings and material inspections.

What You Bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management (or equivalent field experience)
  • 1–7 years of experience, depending on education and hands-on exposure
  • A strong foundation in commercial construction processes and project lifecycle
  • Familiarity with construction management platforms and tools (e.g., Autodesk, Bluebeam, P6)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook); scheduling experience preferred.
  • Team-first mindset, strong organizational skills, and a willingness to learn

Other Requirements

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and have an acceptable driving record, as defined by Lydig’s insurance and vehicle policy (required for positions that include an auto allowance).
  • Must be able to pass all pre-employment screenings, including a drug screen, criminal background check, and, if applicable, a credit check.
  • Lydig is a drug-free workplace, and all employees are considered to hold safety-sensitive positions. Testing for controlled substances, including cannabis, is required.

What We Offer

  • Competitive Salary: $70,000 – $75,000 DOE
  • Monthly Auto Allowance: $825 – $1,100 (pre-tax)
  • 100% Employer-Paid Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, and Disability Insurance for employees and dependents
  • 401(k) with Company Match
  • Profit Sharing Program
  • Annual Bonus Opportunities
  • Clothing & Cell Phone Allowance
  • 15 PTO Days in Year 1 (prorated) + 7 Paid Holidays
  • Training & Continued Education Support
  • Team Events: Quarterly PE Huddles, Annual Weekend in Chelan, Holiday Party, Summer Picnic, and more!
